Fees
1/2 Day Mediation
My fee for a half day mediation is $3750 + HST, which includes up to 2 hours of preparation time. Additional preparation time and mediation time beyond the first 3 hours will be charged at the rate of $750 per hour + HST.
A cancellation fee of $1700 + HST will apply if a 1/2 day mediation is cancelled within 4 weeks of the scheduled date. The parties will be responsible for any third party fees or other out of pocket expenses incurred by the mediator in respect of a late cancellation.
Full Day Mediation
My fee for a full day mediation is $6000 + HST, which includes up to 2 hours of preparation time. Additional preparation time and mediation time beyond the first 6 hours will be charged at the rate of $750 per hour + HST.
A cancellation fee of $2800 + HST will apply if a full day mediation is cancelled within 4 weeks of the scheduled date. The parties will be responsible for any third party fees or other out of pocket expenses incurred by the mediator in respect of a late cancellation.
Additional Fee Information
Facility charges are extra and will be billed to the parties, unless counsel make the arrangements for the meeting space directly with a third party provider.
Travel expenses incurred by the mediator for out of town mediations will be billed at cost. Travel time will not be billed unless more than 5 hours of round trip travel time is required.
The mediator’s invoice will be split between the parties to the dispute, unless there is an agreement in writing specifying a different allocation of the fees and disbursements.
* Cancellation fees will be waived if a mediation is adjourned to a date that is within 3 months of the original date (or if another mediation can be booked for the cancelled date.)
